If you’re reading this, you’ve likely completed a Circling training like T3, SAS, AoC, or The Circling Comprehensive. You loved it. To some degree, it’s transformed you and your experience of the world. And it continues to reveal itself as a practice of powerful revelation. 

 

And yet, it’s started to feel flat. You’re a little bored. Or you’ve had a sense that there is something less than alive about you when you Circle. You may be doing it how you were taught (and doing it well), but still feeling a sense of pressure or of holding back. At times you feel stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or unable to focus and you don’t know what to do about it. So you power through and hope nobody notices.

 

And it works. And it’s exhausting. At times you feel like an imposter. More and more you’re feeling drained after leading a Circle. Maybe you’re even considering pulling out, quitting, giving up.

 

I think you’re struggling because your Circling doesn’t yet belong to you. On some level, often unconsciously, you’re likely caught up in trying to do it perfectly or “the right way”, making sure you’re constantly delivering value, or protecting yourself from people’s judgements. I think these were wise strategies at some point in your history, but now they are taking you away from the moment, your connection with others in the Circle, and your innate creative potential.

Here’s how it works: You Circle someone in the group. Then, at some point we call “time out” and we Circle (and I supportively coach) you on your Circling.

 

(Note: we will also play with “organic”-style training Circles, with the same intention and opportunity for growth described here.)

 

This is a unique opportunity to explore what happens within you as you Circle and unlock the places you get stuck.​ When I work with you, I put attention on the places within you that might not be getting direct attention in any other circumstance, especially when you’re leading Circles.

 

When I dig down with people, when we bring a loving spacious attention (ie. Circling) to the places they get stuck, we often discover a deep insecurity or anxiety. Shame often lives here. Something that tells you that you’re not okay and it’s smarter to be someone else. A lack of space. A place where you’ve tied yourself in a knot.

 

How do you undo a knot? Not by pulling harder. (As anyone with a pair of wired earbuds knows,) this sometimes works, but usually it makes things worse. Tighter. 

 

No; we slow down and bring it up to our eyes. We investigate it, understand it. And then, usually, at some point instead of pulling, we actually need to gently push the string into the knot. It’s counter-intuitive, but it starts to create some space. And when a human being has a little more space, they tend to settle down and feel more secure. 

 

The more that you feel secure within yourself, the more that you feel your wholeness, the more at ease you’re going to be. The more open you are, the more available you’re going to be, and the more interested and curious you’re going to be about the other person. You’ll be able to go deeper with them, as deep as you are. Your ease with yourself will entrain safety to the people in your Circle and from there, you create a space that leads to a higher likelihood of profound experience.

 

The ways in which you feel insecure, or are holding back, or are captive to some pattern in your Circling leadership will to show up in everything you do: in your work, in your intimate relationships, in the way you treat yourself. Your congruence (a deep sense of aligned secure wholeness within you) or lack of it impacts every area of your life.

 

This program is designed to build your congruence, through attentive in-the-moment feedback and support. Doing this in community gives you the added advantage of not only being trained through coaching, but also deepening your awareness as you watch others being trained.

 

My hope is that, in your Circles and all your interactions, you’ll be able to create richer, deeper, more meaningful, and more enjoyable experiences for everyone you touch (including you).

 To join the Group Coaching Program, you must either 

    • have completed a full Circling facilitation training program (T3, SAS, AoC, TCLT, ICLC, BCT, TCC, etc),
    • OR demonstrate equivalent competency leading a ‘birthday’ or ‘focus’-style Circle.

This might be for you if

    • you’ve completed a formal Circling facilitation training (or can demonstrate equivalent competency leading a ‘birthday’- or ‘focus’-style Circle)
  •  
    • you learn well in a community environment, where everyone is committed, in it together, and supporting one another, and much of the learning happens through watching others
  •  
    • you’re ready to take an honest and vulnerable look at yourself and some of your core insecurities
  •  
    • you want to be more impactful and of service in your life and work

 

This might not be for you if:

    • it would be difficult for you to manage fitting the 2.5 hour sessions and 1 hour weekly practice time into your schedule, staying present throughout both
  •  
  •  
    • you easily get super overwhelmed, lost, or destabilized, especially in groups, or otherwise struggle with intense traumatic stress. Many of us experience these to some degree, but if it’s so intense that you lose the ability to bring yourself back to the present moment, then this is probably not the best container for you.
  •  
    • you mainly want new tools but are not so interested in looking deeper within yourself at the places you get stuck. If you want to be more skillful in a sustainable (and enjoyable) way, I believe you need to work at the level of your insecurities
  •  
    • you are interested mostly in connection for connection sake, but are not very interested in using these skills to contribute to others

    • Currency: if you live in the US, EU, or UK, pay US Dollars. Everyone else pays Canadian Dollars (1 CAD = ~ 0.80 USD).

    • Payment Method: Outside of Canada I currently only accept payments via Paypal. Canadians may pay by Interac email money transfer.

    • If you choose a payment plan, the first payment is due at time of registration, and then subsequent payments are made monthly from that point.

So that I can deliver maximum value, my expectations are that you:

    • Attend all sessions in full their duration (avoiding distractions), and arrive a few minutes early

    • Do at least 1 hour per week of Circling practice with a partner

    • Bring concerns, frustrations, or doubts about the program to me, sooner than later (ideally within a week), so we can address them.
